Why You Should Never Buy Kale Chips

There are a couple of things that I am adamant people should make rather than buy, and kale chips are one of those things.  At around $6 for a little package of these crunchy greens, I consider it ridiculous that anyone shouldn't just make these themselves.  Especially since you can season them to taste like whatever you want them to when making them yourself.  It only takes 20 minutes and costs a fraction of the price.  Do it!

Ingredients:
a bunch of kale
1 Tablespoon olive oil
salt
spices

Instructions:
1) Preheat oven to 300 F.  Tear kale leaves into large pieces, removing the middle stalk.  Wash and dry the kale leaves.
2) Toss leaves with 1 Tablespoon of olive oil (you don't need a lot of oil, just a very light coating) salt, and any spices you want to add.  Taste a raw leaf to make sure it's seasoned enough.
3) Bake for 20 minutes in a single layer on baking sheets or baking sheets lined with parchment for easy clean-up.
4) Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.  Store in an airtight container (if they last long enough to be stored).  Enjoy!
